Penis Envy mushrooms is one of the rarest and sought-after Psilocybe Cubensis amongst hardcore psychonauts. Its name describes its physical form; a thick shaft and a bulbous head that doesn’t quite spread wide open.

Penis Envy  mushrooms is known to be one of the strongest and hard hitting. This strain grows very slow but the yields are large fruits, and mycologists suggest that its slow growth results in more time for psilocybin production.

Expect deep shamanic experiences, vision quests, and an intense mystical experience with penis mushroom. Not recommended for first-time users. This strain is special and expects a transformative experience.

After 10-30 minutes of consuming Penis Envy mushrooms, you will feel your mood enhanced with euphoria and excitement. Depending on the dosage you will experience mild to intense visual enhancements. Albino Penis Envy Uncut is reported to be the strongest of all the Penis Envy shroom strains.

Albino pe exhibit a unique physical feature: their caps never open, even when fully mature. Caps are also noticeably darker than normal Penis Envy varieties.

Although the physical properties of both of these mutants vary, the potency of all Penis Envy mushroom strains is consistently higher than that of all other P cubensis  magic mushroom strains.

The First Penis Envy Mushrooms

According to reports, Penis Envy arose from a healthy and unusually large mushroom discovered deep in the Amazon by renowned psychedelic researcher  Terence McKenna.

In the early 1970s, McKenna is said to have discovered (and sampled) a colossal patch of magic mushrooms deep in the rainforest with the help of native guides. McKenna simply sandwiched some spore prints from this culture between two microscopy slides and boarded a flight to the United States, where he quickly started cultures of the mushrooms from these prints. He also sent some prints from the exceptional Amazonian specimen to several of his colleagues, including Steven Pollock, who claimed that psychedelic mushrooms were the most powerful drug available for treating a variety of mental health issues.

Pollock proceeded to propagate and refine the culture over several years by isolating fruiting mushrooms on agar, then taking tissue samples from the largest mushrooms in each batch, narrowing and improving the culture’s genetic profile with each generation until a massive, odd-looking mutation happened.

According to Hamilton Morris’ going theory, a pioneering Psilocybe Cubensis Mycologist Steven Pollock was mailed some of the original Amazon prints from the McKennas and likely isolated it himself which later led to the penis shaped mushroom, and Penis Envy mushroom strain.  Before his unfortunate death, Pollock supposedly mailed another mycologist and print vendor Rich Gee a spore print labeled ‘Penis’!

Many thought this penis shaped mushroom had been lost after some time, but John Allen eventually found Rich Gee selling spore swabs (a sterile cotton swab wiped along the gills of a mushroom to collect spores) of Penis Envy. Around the same time a user on Shroomery was said to have a print from Terrence McKenna’s personal collection…. This may have been due to some confusion about Rich Gee saying he got the print from the McKennas originally, we really do not know for certain.

At this point its hard to tell where the original Penis Envy spore sample came from, and the name itself has no known origin either.
